Jamaica Partnership

The Crossroads fellowship and the Assiciation of Independent Baptist Chjurches of Jamaica have established a strategic partnership for the purpose of advancing the Great Commission through mutually edifying ministry relationships that result in church planting, leadership training and missions endeavors to the glory of God.

 

The Five Year Partnership Goals are as follows:

1.      Relational Goal: To build mutually edifying and ministry empowering relationships between pastors and church families of both associations.
 
Objectives:
1)      Pastors & Wives Retreat: February 2013.
2)      Adoption of Jamaican children, Objective: 5 children in the next 5 years.
3)      Participation in joint short- term mission projects. 
 
2.      Associational Goal: To enhance unity and effectiveness of each association in fulfilling the Great Commission.
 
Objectives: 
1)      Church Planting Challenge: Each association will commit to initiating a minimum of five church plants in the next five years. 
2)      Church to Church Partnerships (C2C): Develop 10 church to church ministry partnerships over the next 5 years, 2 in each region of both associations. 
3)      Associational Consultation: Association of Independent Baptist in Jamaica to provide consultation to Crossroads Fellowship in developing unity and effectiveness among Fellowship churches.
4)      Cross-participation in annual associational conferences.
 
3.      Educational Goal: To equip and train leaders in both associations to carry out the Great Commission.
 
Objectives: 
1)      Fairview Baptist Bible College Accreditation:
a.            Assist in completing construction of new library and administrative building.
b.            Assist in providing the books required for the accreditation process.
c.                  Assist in providing teaching modules at the Bible College.
2)      Pastoral Internships: Provide opportunities for 5 pastors from each association to serve in pastoral internships in local churches. 
 
4.      Missional Goal: To participate in a joint effort to impact the Caribbean with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
 
Objectives:
1)      Initiate a joint effort into the nation of Cuba.
2)      Initiate joint efforts to reach the “least reached” in each association. Jamaica: East Indians, Han Chinese, Rastafarians. Indiana: Burmese, East Indian, Chinese
3)      Organize joint “church to church” mission trips into other Caribbean countries.
4)      Mobilize one new missionary family from each association to serve in the Caribbean region.
